HOME/ SERVICES/ PLUMBING LEADS
// PLUMBING LEADS — DONE FOR YOU, ON YOUR NUMBER

Plumbing leads that ring your phone at 2 a.m. — exclusive plumbing lead generation, three prices, all printed.

We run the channels a homeowner hits when the water is on the floor — Google Local Services Ads, search ads, your Maps listing, emergency pages — and every call lands on a tracking number in your name, recorded. Nothing shared, nothing resold. $1,190 a month flat, $129 per valid call, or $490 a month plus $60 per booked job. You choose the code, and you can switch at the end of any month. No phone field on this page — you get enough calls from lead vendors.

DISPATCH TICKET #0207 — BURST PIPE HOW ONE 2 A.M. CALL MOVES
2:07 AMHomeowner types emergency plumber near me. Water on the kitchen floor, phone in the other hand.
2:07 AMYour Local Services ad sits above every result, Google Verified badge on it. They tap the number.
2:08 AMThe call rings a tracking number in your account. Recorded. Tagged BURST PIPE · ROUND ROCK · 2-STORY.
2:08 AMMissed-call text-back goes out in seconds; the on-call tech's phone rings second, then yours.
2:11 AMTech calls back. Job booked. Truck rolling by 2:40.
6:40 AMThe marketplace version of the same homeowner: a form emailed to "up to four" plumbers. Four callbacks, one job, three trucks that drove for nothing.
OTHERS ON THIS TICKET: 0NUMBER RINGING: YOURS
ILLUSTRATIVE TIMESTAMPS SHOWING HOW A CALL MOVES THROUGH THE SYSTEM — NOT A CLIENT'S RECORD. THE 6:40 ROW IS HOMEADVISOR'S OWN "UP TO FOUR PRE-SCREENED" PROMISE, TIMED.
// THE PRICE BOOK

You quote flat-rate because homeowners hate the hourly meter. So do we: three service codes for plumbing leads, printed.

Same four channels, same exclusive calls, same person running them. The codes differ in one thing — who carries the ad spend and the risk. For scale: a plumber visit averages $341, a water heater replacement $1,347, a sewer line replacement $3,319 (HomeAdvisor, updated June 2026). One water heater pays for a lot of $129 calls.

CODE LG-01 · FLAT$1,190/mo
ADS: PAID BY YOU TO GOOGLE, AT COST — 0% MARKUP

Local Services Ads and narrow search ads run for you, the Maps listing worked weekly, three emergency pages with their own numbers, call tracking in your name with missed-call text-back, the Monday call sheet with recordings, a report by the 5th. Setup happens in month one; there is no setup fee.

SLOW MONTH · 10 VALID CALLS · $800 ADS → $1,990 ALL-IN · $199 A CALL
BUSY MONTH · 30 VALID CALLS · $2,000 ADS → $3,190 ALL-IN · $106 A CALL

Best for: two trucks or more and steady volume — the cheapest call on the book when it's busy.

MONTH-TO-MONTH · CANCEL AT ANY MONTH'S END
CODE LG-02 · PER VALID CALL$129/call
ADS: INSIDE THE PRICE — YOU NEVER SEE A GOOGLE BILL

No setup, no monthly fee, no minimum. We pay for the ads; you pay for the homeowners who actually called — invoiced weekly, valid calls only, everything else credited. A supplier is not a call. A wrong number is not a call. A homeowner two counties over is not a call.

SLOW MONTH · 10 VALID CALLS → $1,290 · $129 A CALL
BUSY MONTH · 30 VALID CALLS → $3,870 · $129 A CALL

Best for: one-truck shops and anyone burned by shared leads — zero fixed cost, zero risk on your side. Two cents under LocaliQ's $129.02 plumbing benchmark, for a call that's exclusive, recorded, and on your number.

CANCEL ANY WEEK · CREDITS POST THE SAME WEEK
CODE LG-03 · BASE + BOOKED$490/mo + $60/job
ADS: PAID BY YOU TO GOOGLE, AT COST — 0% MARKUP

The same work as LG-01, with most of our fee riding on your dispatch board. A booked job counts when it's on the schedule with a name and an address — booked by the homeowner on an emergency page, or by your office after the call. You confirm the count on the Monday sheet.

SLOW MONTH · 4 BOOKED · $800 ADS → $1,530 ALL-IN · $153 A CALL
BUSY MONTH · 13 BOOKED · $2,000 ADS → $3,270 ALL-IN · $109 A CALL

Best for: newer companies that want a low fixed cost and a partner paid on outcomes.

MONTH-TO-MONTH · CANCEL AT ANY MONTH'S END

ALL-IN = OUR FEE + AD SPEND. CALL COUNTS AND AD SPEND ARE ILLUSTRATIONS — YOUR MARKET SETS THEM. SLOW MONTHS FAVOR LG-02, BUSY MONTHS FAVOR LG-01, AND SWITCHING CODES AT A MONTH'S END COSTS NOTHING. WHERE $129 SITS: SERVICE DIRECT PRINTS "PLUMBING $60-$255" PER CALL; NETWORX PRINTS "$15 AND $120+" FOR AN EXCLUSIVE LEAD; 99 CALLS PRINTS "$38–$144" PER LOCAL SERVICES LEAD AND "$78–$365" PER GOOGLE ADS LEAD; MOST VENDORS PRINT NOTHING.

// IN THEIR OWN WORDS

Before you buy plumbing leads anywhere, read the help center, not the sales page. We did. This is what the sellers say when they think only contractors are reading.

Every quote below was pulled from the vendor's own help article or pricing page in September 2026. Nothing paraphrased.

HOMEADVISOR — "HOW IT WORKS"

"You'll receive information for up to four pre-screened, local home improvement pros."

Written to the homeowner. The homeowner gets four of you. You get a race.

NETWORX — HELP CENTER

"A single Pay Per Lead will go to up to 4 contractors in total." Prices "between $10 to $100+" shared, "between $15 and $120+" exclusive.

The only marketplace that prints a band — and still no plumbing-specific number.

THUMBTACK — HELP CENTER

"The phone number they provided will be revealed after you pay for the lead." And: "we limit the number of pros a customer can contact to five in the first four hours."

Pay first, then find out who called. Up to five of you in the first four hours.

33 MILE RADIUS — PLUMBING LEADS PAGE

"All calls from our service will come from a designated phone number." Billable when "the call goes unanswered (4 rings or more)" or "goes to voicemail, regardless if the caller leaves a message."

The number is theirs, and a ring you missed is a lead you bought. No price printed.

SERVICE DIRECT — PAY-PER-LEAD COSTS

"Plumbing $60-$255." "Create your account for free and only pay for valid calls."

Credit where due: the one vendor that prints a plumbing range. The top of it is twice our per-call code.

KABOOM LEADS — PLUMBING PAGE, PAGE ONE OF GOOGLE

"Kaboom Leads owns and operates all lead generation websites, domains, and marketing assets. Lead exclusivity applies during the active agreement period only." A missed call still counts: "Missed calls recorded by the call-tracking system."

The brand is theirs, the number is theirs, and the exclusivity ends the day you stop paying. No price printed.

AND IN A PLUMBER'S WORDS — R/PLUMBING, 2023

"The problem is that lead goes to multiple people, your direct competitors, so you need to be by the phone for an immediate call back and have the best price. Win or lose we all pay for the same lead. About 45% of the leads don't answer the calls because they've just been bombarded by every other company out there."

A SOLO PLUMBER — R/PLUMBING, APRIL 2026

"google local service ads work once you're verified but expensive to start. angi and thumbtack are mostly a scam for solo guys, same leads sold to 5 others."

Expensive to start is the part we take off the table: on code LG-02 we front the ad spend, and you pay for the calls that happened.

THIS PAGE — IN OUR OWN WORDS

Every call rings a number in your call-tracking account (from $50 a month, five numbers, recordings included), from your ad and your Maps listing. Nobody else is on the ticket, because there is no marketplace holding the homeowner between you. Leave, and the numbers port with you the same day. And one person runs it — the one who answers this ticket — not a "dedicated account manager."

// WHERE THE CALLS COME FROM

Four vans, dispatched in the order they start ringing.

There are 123,866 plumbing, heating and air-conditioning contractor businesses in the country (BLS, 2025 average), and a homeowner with water on the floor calls the first one that answers. Every van below runs under your name and points at your number. The "first calls" line is what we expect in a typical market — not a promise of a count. Anyone who promises a count is guessing with your money.

The calendar has one date circled. The day after Thanksgiving brings "a 50% spike in service calls" and is the busiest day of the year, per Roto-Rooter's own numbers (November 2025). The emergency pages go live before it, not after.

VAN 01
Local Services Ads

The Google Verified block above every other result. In Google's words, you "pay for valid leads." In SearchLight's February 2026 sample of 230 plumbing accounts, those leads cost about $57 each and 44.5% became booked jobs — the cheapest ring on the block. We set the weekly budget, dispute the junk, and keep the profile that earns the badge.

FIRST CALLS: DAYS
VAN 02
Search ads, run narrow

Run wide, plumbing search ads cost $129.02 a lead in LocaliQ's 3,211-campaign benchmark; SearchLight's plumbers spent a median $5,055 a month at $183 a lead on non-branded search. We run them narrow: emergency terms, after-hours, the ZIPs a truck can reach in thirty minutes.

FIRST CALLS: THE FIRST TWO WEEKS
VAN 03
The Maps listing

Free, per Google. 97% of consumers read reviews for local businesses, and Google is still the main place they read them, at 71% (BrightLocal, 2026). Photos from the truck, a review request the minute the invoice is paid, service areas that match your dispatch radius, hours that say "24/7" only if a human answers at 2 a.m.

FIRST CALLS: COMPOUNDING OVER 3–6 MONTHS — AND THEY DON'T STOP WHEN THE ADS DO
VAN 04
Emergency pages

Burst pipe, water heater, sewer backup: three pages with their own numbers, written for a phone held in a wet hand at 2 a.m., not for a design award. One tap to call, one tap to send a photo, the price ranges you actually charge. Built on your domain, so they keep ranking after we're gone.

FIRST CALLS: THE NIGHT SOMETHING BREAKS
// THE RULES CHANGED IN AUGUST 2026

Google is folding Local Services Ads into Performance Max. Any plumbing lead vendor still promising a "max bid per lead" is selling a feature Google removed.

WHAT CHANGED

Google's notice: the migration for U.S. plumbing, HVAC and electrical advertisers began in "August 2026," and "manual bidding (such as setting a maximum cost-per-lead) is no longer supported."

WHAT DIDN'T

"You still only pay for valid leads." Placements stay "exclusively on Google Search and Google Maps in the same ad positions as before," and "your Google Verified badge will transfer to Google Ads automatically."

WHAT WE DO ABOUT IT

Run the pay-per-lead campaign with a target cost per lead instead of a cap, read the Monday sheet against that target, and move budget between the four vans when one starts ringing cheaper. The ad account is in your name, so the history moves with you.

// DISPATCH RULES

What counts as a valid call. Printed, because on code LG-02 it is the entire invoice.

Compare it with the "4 rings" rule above. Every call has a recording behind it on the Monday sheet; reply to the email to dispute a row and the credit posts the same week. The same rules decide what's a booked job on LG-03.

R-01

A homeowner, landlord, or property manager with a plumbing problem — not a supplier, a recruiter, a robocall, or a wrong number.

R-02

A property inside the ZIP codes we agreed on in writing. Two counties over is credited, no argument.

R-03

A job you actually do. If you don't run gas lines, a gas-line call isn't a valid call — we set the list on day one and the ads follow it.

R-04

A conversation over 45 seconds, or a form with a property address. A ring nobody answered is not billed — it's the opposite of the "4 rings or more" rule.

R-05

The same caller inside 30 days is one call, not two. Price-shoppers who never book are still calls — that's the job of your office, not the ad.

R-06

The honest one: if nobody at your shop can call back within five minutes, at night, in season — don't buy calls from anyone this month, us included. The written plan will say so, and it will say how to fix the callback first.

// ASKED ON EVERY SERVICE CALL

The plumbing-leads questions Google shows under the search box, answered with the codes above.

01.How much do plumbing leads cost?

Here: $129 per valid exclusive call with the ad spend inside, or $1,190 a month flat with you paying Google at cost, or $490 a month plus $60 per booked job. Elsewhere, the few who print anything print ranges: Service Direct "Plumbing $60-$255" per call, 99 Calls "$38–$144" per Local Services lead and "$78–$365" per Google Ads lead, Networx "$15 and $120+" for an exclusive lead. HomeAdvisor, Thumbtack, 33 Mile Radius, and Kaboom print no plumbing price at all — and searching "plumbing leads near me" returns the same names. Dated benchmarks: about $57 per Local Services lead with a 44.5% book rate (SearchLight, February 2026) and $129.02 per plumbing search-ad lead (LocaliQ, 2025).

02.How do I get leads for my plumbing business?

Own the four places a homeowner with water on the floor looks, in the order they ring: a Local Services ad with the Google Verified badge, narrow search ads on emergency terms, a Maps listing with fresh reviews, and emergency pages on your own domain with their own numbers. Then answer within five minutes, because the plumber who calls back first gets the job. That is the whole system on this page; the price book above is what it costs to have it run for you.

03.Where can I get plumbing leads for free?

The Maps listing is free — Google says so on its own page — and reviews, referrals, and a truck wrap cost nothing but discipline. What is not free is the machine that turns those into booked calls at 2 a.m., during the day after Thanksgiving, and in the week your dispatcher is out. Vendors advertising "free plumbing leads" are usually offering a handful of shared ones to get your card on file; ask them who owns the phone number.

04.Are the plumbing leads exclusive, or shared like the marketplaces?

Exclusive plumbing leads by construction, not by promise. A call from your ad or your Maps listing rings a number in your own tracking account, so there is no marketplace holding the homeowner to resell them. HomeAdvisor's own page says a request goes to "up to four" pros; Networx says "up to 4 contractors in total"; Thumbtack says up to five in the first four hours. The ticket at the top of this page has a line for it: others on this ticket, zero.

05.What is the best company to get plumbing leads?

Judge them on three lines from their own help pages: whether they print a price, whose phone number the call comes from, and what happens to the leads and the number when you leave. Service Direct and 99 Calls print ranges; 33 Mile Radius routes calls through "a designated phone number" of theirs; Kaboom Leads says it "owns and operates all lead generation websites, domains, and marketing assets." The best company is the one you can leave without losing the phone number the homeowners have been calling — which is the whole reason this page puts the numbers in your account on day one.

06.What if a call is junk — a supplier, a wrong number, a price-shopper?

Suppliers, recruiters, robocalls, wrong numbers, callers outside your ZIPs, and repeat callers inside 30 days are never billed on code LG-02; every call is recorded on the Monday sheet, and a reply to that email gets the credit posted the same week. A homeowner who called, asked a price, and didn't book is a valid call — turning those into jobs is your office's work, and the sheet shows you how many there were. On LG-01 and LG-03 there is no per-call bill at all; you pay Google directly, at cost.

07.How fast will the phone ring?

Local Services Ads typically produce the first calls within days once the profile is verified; narrow search ads inside two weeks; the Maps listing compounds over three to six months and keeps ringing after ad spend stops; an emergency page rings the night something breaks, if it was built before the season. We won't put a call count in writing, and we'd be careful with anyone who does.

08.Can I switch codes or leave, and who owns the accounts?

Switch at any month's end in writing, no fee. Leave the same way: the Maps listing is on your Google account, the emergency pages are on your domain, the tracking numbers are in your call-tracking account and port with you, and on LG-01 and LG-03 the ad account is yours. On LG-02 the ad account is ours because we're paying the bill; switch to LG-01 and it moves to your name with its history.
